New Roll Slitter
|
The
ALS 425 S-Tec
is the latest addition to the ALS range of roll slitting machines. It has a
diameter of 425mm and working widths of 1600/1800/2100mm. This fills the gap
between the 300 and 500 models and is aimed at tape distributors and converters.
The first order was placed by G B Brooks of Cheadle Heath, Stockport and is the
second ALS slitter they have purchased. Please contact us for further details.

An
ALS 700 S-Tec Automatic log slitter has recently been installed in the US,
the company converts foam and felt materials used in gasket manufacture. The machine
includes a blade loading system which enables the operator to safely load the
810mm diameter slitting blade.

The
first BR-3 fully automatic slitter rewinder for the production of coated
paper rolls used in narrow and wide format ink jet printing machines has been
sold to a major UK converter. The machine incorporates a core hopper and end of
roll labelling system. The finished rolls are discharged on a conveyor to the
packaging line. A unique feature is the tuckless start which eliminates marking.

A major
UK based manufacturer of damp course has placed a three machine order with ALS
Limited. The slitting machines run in-line with extruders and operate on a 24
hour basis. Strength and reliability were major factors in winning the
contract.
Installations

A new
three spindle automatic slitter rewinder has been delivered to a European
manufacturer of coated papers. This hands free operation includes an
automatic core loader, slitting and rewinding with an automatic cycle for a
tuck-free start, cut-off, end of reel sealing, discharge into an automatic
packaging machine.
